Whakatane Action For Youth will be launching their plan for Whakatane youth this Saturday 22 February.

The pohiri starts at 3pm at the Manuka Tutahi Marae at Mataatua Whare. Whakatane Action For Youth Coordinator Cindy Lee said she is excited to celebrate the scenes that have been completed in the last six months to encourage all the communities to participate in this project designed specifically to cater to the wellbeing  of our youth.

Apart from inviting all the communties of Whakatane to Mataatua Whare there will inflatable Obstacle course, BBQ, Performances and information stalls.

Top of the list performances will be local singer  Cameron Rota with Steps Dance Crew, other performers from Trident and Whakatane High Schools and Whakatane Intermediate as well as singers from the Performing Arts and Trace Tidd.
