Whakatane Kiwi Trust will work with 15 other entities that help to protect kiwi birds as we go into the week of celebrating our most precious bird (kiwi).

Whakatane will begin a walk next week to look for kiwi birds and will take dogs with them to teach a few things how to treat these native birds. This expedition will give a lot of knowledge to the community about the kiwi bird.
