Tikanga Maori should not be in Parliament apparently a call from Labours Women MP following the ParliamentaryYouth Forum 2013.

Annette King and Maryann Street said tikanga should be changed in Parliament to allow women to sit on the front seats with men. Te Ururoa Flavell said he was surprised to hear the women speak out about our Maori culture.

He said Parekura Horomia always maintained the tikanga and now he has gone there are now calls for changes to Maori protocol in Parliament.
