Fluoride adds to the life essence of water according to Janet McLean of the BOP District Health Board adding too that Maori will benefit from its goodness.

Janet McLean a Tuhoe woman and Ngati Tuwharetoa woman Rudi Johnson say that by means of fluoride in drinking water Maori children will have healthy teeth.

Both encourage the people of Whakatane to vote for fluoride in the drinking water in Whakatane and Ohope expecting too that the water supplies in Murupara and Ruatahuna will eventually have fluoride in their water supplies.

Rudi Johnson said fluoride is a natural mineral in our water systems in small amounts and will help to stop tooth decay.
