Last friday Ani headed up to Kapu-te-rangi where Kawerau, Opotiki & Whakatane Future leaders came together along with some students from te kura o Te Mānuka Tūtahi and locals celebrated togetherness, kotahitanga. Even though Tawhirimātea tested our strength with his hau makariri & marangai we pushed through to pay respect to our uri at Ihumātao also to our whanau who have lost their loved one’s in the last couple weeks in te rohe o Mataatua.
