This Thursday, Te Kura o te Paroa will be celebrating the status as becoming a special designation character school which sets it apart from mainstream and Kura Kapapa Maori schools with a welcome and speeches to communities and Ngati Awa for.

Te Kura o Te Paroa principal Drew Manning emphasises the new status of the school which teaches firstly  the Maori language along with mainstream adaptions. The status has been confirmed by the Ministry of Education who will be amongst important dignitaries on Thursday.
