Tauranga moana iwi will continue fighting when their case is heard in the Court of Appeal. Ngāti Ruahine of Ngāti Ranginui iwi put their appeal in.
In a bid to stop consent to widen and deepen the shipping channel to allow bigger ships access to the port, in the high court last month Ngāti Ruahine of Ngāti Ranginui were unable to stop the the Port of Tauranga consent when it was granted by the Environment Court.
