Maori Language Week may have been and gone, but the opportunity to explore our local history and culture continues.

Te Koputu a te Whanga a Toi – the Whakatane Library and Exhibition Centre is providing a unique opportunity for the people of the Whakatane District to explore some of the towns cultural and historical landmarks through its free Whakatane Pahi (Bus) Tour 2013.

Whakatane District Council Library Services Coordinator, Tangimeriana Rua, says the tour is part of Council’s ongoing commitment to promote Te Reo Maori.
