Taiarahia Black joined us again for Te Reo Rangahau.

There are 3 elements to Professor Tai Black’s korero this week. Firstly Professor Black spoke about Poroporoaki, those who passed away recently. He talked about Te Makarini Temara and his mahi he did at TWWOA and through out the motu.

He also spoke about Whakarongo Rua – a new publication. He spoke about the book and the women who are part of it and how to get it online.

Another topic Tai covered was a recent article published in the Whakatane Beacon about mussels at Ohiwa Harbour. He spoke about Kura Paul-Burke and her research on the Ohiwa Harbour and the effects the starfish has on the muscles.
