Electoral Commission Enrolments Manager Murray Wicks is responsible for all voting age people in Aotearoa.

It is for him and his colleagues to ensure that everything that is to be done is in place to enrol and/or track down voters and be ready to vote in all Aotearoa elections.

And one those elections will be the Ikaroa Rawhiti Electorate, vacated after the death of Parekura Horomia, but that will take place in due course.

Another aspect on the list of dos for Murrary Wicks is making sure voters understand the criteria for voters to choose which roll to enrol either the general roll or the Maori roll.

Murray Wicks said one of the assumptions for most people is that they have to be on a specific roll to make a party vote but it a party vote can be made from either roll.
