Te Ohonga Ake report empathizes the poverty plight of children all around Aotearoa.

The Maori Party welcomes the report which highlights 78 points to be considered and implemented to be rid of poverty within our communities in Aotearoa.

Maori Party Co-leader Tariana Turia said they are concerned and want to increase the health of poverty stricken children in our environment and not deeper into poverty.

Dr Pita Sharples also shares the concern and said the Maori Party has long been an advocate of children and health pleading with the Government to ensure all our children receive the best health systems in Aotearoa.
