Whakatane Police are warning parents and their children to be alert to strangers who trying to entice young girls and teenage girls into their vehicles.

A particular stranger in Ohope finger signed a group of girls to approach his car, but an alert mother contacted the Police who spoke to the culprit to be warned.

Another incident involving a dark skinned male tried to attract secondary girls into this vehicle in Kopeopeo, Police have spoken to that individual and warned him as well.

Police are currently investigating whether both men can be charged, so far they have not broken the law. Police are calling on Parents to ring the Police if anymore such incidents and let the Police pursue the people stalking children.
