Oku Moemoea is an exciting forthcoming film shot in the heart of Ōpōtiki. The film traces the dilemmas of a young Artist as he struggles to come to terms with his relationships, talents and future. Set in Opotiki with the background scenery of Hukutaia Domain, the rivers and beaches of Opotiki, the Children’s Art House and Opotiki Youth Art Murals. Born with an abundance of creativity and living without a mentor in an isolated area, he becomes increasingly alienated from others. He struggles with feelings of uncertainty and doubt which plague his efforts to engage in his talents as he wrestles with whether they can drive his future.
