The “Iwi Station of the year award” recognises quality, excellence, outstanding performances for radio stations championing the Maori language and culture.

Statio Manager of Tumeke FM, Jarrod Dodd says we are humbled to win the “Iwi Station of the year” award at the New Zealand Radio Awards and coupled with the recent success at the 2014 Iwi Radio Awards again highlights the hard work and determination of the Tumeke FM team.  The New Zealand Radio Awards celebrate the very best in NZ radio and are open to all commercial and non-commercial stations.

Recently, Tumeke FM recently also achievced success in the Iwi Radio Awards held in Rotorua for Best Commercial/Advertising Campaing for Tiny Might Power.  Tiny Might Power is a niche power supplier specializing in looking after smaller communities throughout New Zealand.  Traditionally Tiny Might had used local press and direcet marketing for local promotion in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

In addition Operations Director for Tumeke FM, Tracey Eparaima wins the Associated Craft award. Associated craft recognises the continued efforts of individuals often working behind the scene that contribute to the overall operation of a radio station. Tracey has extensive knowledge of radio programming, IT and management and well deserves the recognition as winner of the Associated Craft Award.
