Waiariki MP Te Ururoa Flavell has launched his bill to amend the Electoral Act 1993.

Te Ururoa Flavell wants to amend the section that Maori people are automatically on the Maori roll but have the option to transfer to the general electoral roll should they wish to do so.

Te Ururoa Flavell is adamant that the more Maori people on the Maori roll the more chances there are of increasing Maori seat in Parliament.
