Professor Hinangaroa Smith expects 226 students to graduate from Te Whare Awanuiarangi with degrees with 20 masters and 6 PhDs.

Friday 11 April is graduation day for these students to be celebrated by Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi at the Whakatane War Memorial Hall.

There will first be a welcome gathering at the Manuka Tutahi Marae  at 8am followed by a gown parade by students through central Whakatane allowing spectators to see the fruits of education qualification final receiving their certificates on stage.
