The East Coast and the bottom and the lower North Island go digital on Sunday 29 September.

The BOP and the upper North Island will go digital December 1st. Consequently the television towers on mountains like Putauaki and Te Aroha will become defunct this 2013 instead broadcasts will be by satellite to every home with capabilities in Aotearoa.

Going Digital says there is no need to buy new television sets but instead by the equipment that is satellite friendly such as Freeview, Igloo and Sky. If any one requires more information about going digital link into the website www.goingdigital.co.nz or phone 0800 838 800.
