Today will see over 30 participate walk down the main centre of Opotiki in acknowledgment of Mental Awareness week which begun yesterday.
This year’s theme is to take time, to take a breath and to take notice. In the Opotiki area, people will be participating in a hikoi in the centre of town.
Tirohia te kōkiri Trust and Te Whakatōhea Social Services are two of the main groups running this event. Health worker, Emma Kutia says that there are many activities set for today.
