Na Tunuoa Ratapu
Whakatōhea Iwi Social & Health Service is one of the local Opotiki, Whakatōhea health services alongside Te Ao Hou and Tirohia te Kopere (Aotearoa) that is holding a Mental Health Awareness Week starting on the 5th of October to the 11th of October. The aim is to raise awareness around Mental Health stigma & discrimination.
The theme for the week is ‘Give your time, your words and your presence ” to improve awareness of this major health issue in our communities.
Therefore, through “Whānau Ora, Hapū Ora, ka ora te iwi” therapy and practises, together we can improve our community’s level of knowing.
