In Surfing Sports Lisa Carrington from Ohope has been selected for the NZ Black Fins going to Japan to compete in the International Surf Rescue Challenge.

A team must have six men and six women for a total of twelve athletes and Lisa Carrington is one of those in the main team. NZ is also taking a team of under 20s.

Preparations for the NZ teams will include a training camp on the Gold Coast Australia this month 24-28 July. Aotearoa will compete against Japan, South Africa, Australia, America and England. The International Surf Challenge starts in September over five competiton days 19-23.
