Mataatua Secondary Schools will gather together in Tauranga today for this year’s Secondary School Kapa Haka regional competition.

This event will be over two days, but it is tomorrow when nine schools from the Mataatua / Takitimu area show off their skills, voices, and choreography on stage to claim one of three spots to represent this rohe at the National Secondary Schools Kapa Haka competition next year.

Whakatane High School will be first up on stage tomorrow morning setting the standard for the competition.
