Maori must send proposals to the Constitutional Panel who are gathering ideas from people all over Aotearoa in recent weeks gone by and the days still left in this month of July.

Next Wednesday 31 July is the close off date. Although meetings around the BOP have finished Commissioner Dr Linda Smith said there are still avenues for people to send submissions which could have some effect on the way the Constitution is documented.

Dr Linda Smith said she is one of 12 Commissioners involved in gathering peoples thoughts on how a constitution should be compiled. But she does urge Maori to be involved because there are some submissions from some people totally against the Waitangi Treaty and Maori issues.
