Horizon Networks wishes to advise customers that since our last media release at 13:30 we have restored power to an additional 1830 customers and had further outages causing a loss of power to 62 customers. In spite of our best efforts, and the dedication of the field crews, it is unlikely that we will have power restored to the remaining 200 customers and we would ask those affected to prepare for a night without power.

The areas that remain without power are:  Valley Rd, Whakatane – 5 customers;

 Herepuru Rd – 35 customers;

 Grieves Rd – 80 customers;

 Braemar Rd – 58 customers;

 Putauaki Mountain and surrounds – 6 customers;

 Onepu Springs Rd – 3 customers

 Waiotahe Valley -13 customers.

Due to the extent of the damage to these parts of the network it is likely that we will only be able to restore supply by tomorrow afternoon. As always, if we can restore power earlier in the day we will.

Horizon Energy apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and thank the customers still affected for their patience. We advise all customers to contact their retailers in the first instance and to treat ALL lines as alive at ALL times.
