In this week’s Te Reo Rangahau Professor Taiarahia Black talks about 3 kaupapa.
Firstly he spoke about students at TWWOA learning whaikorero and tauparapara. He spoke about his own journey of learning; the koroua and their tauparapara which he grew up listening to.
He also spoke about about karanga and the meaning behind it, likening it to Waiata Koroua/Moteatea.
He made mention to Masters and Doctorate students at TWWOA who are doing their Masters theses and Doctorate studies around tauparapara and karanga.
To finish off reo rangahau he tells a story about him and his koroua, who passed away recently, Peeti Delamere.
