“Maintain the education system that allows our children to learn at school” words of wisdom from Whakatane Intermediate School Principal, Doug McLean .

He believes Aotearoa has the best education system in the world as commended by international organisations that analyse achievement data.

Although the National Government has introduced new education systems Doug McLean said the old proven systems which were introduce in 1989 by former Prime Minister David Lange Government have been lost.

Perhaps the Education Review Office can help by utilising its monitoring from schools who do very well by passing these on to the NZEI and PPTA.
